Registration Numbers Required
Builders & Contractors – we require you
to have a Contractor's Registration number prior to becoming
one of our members.
Below
are some quick answers to questions you might have:
It costs
$25.00 for two years. Contractors need to fill out an application,
$25.00 and if the contractor has employees a certificate of
workers compensation that has to be processed through our
office. After being processed we send the contractor a certificate
containing their contractor registration number. Approximately
a month prior to their 2 year certificate expiring they will
receive from our office a short renewal form. At this time
the renewal is filled out by the contractor, resubmitted with
$25.00 and certificate of WC coverage if applicable to our
office and the contractor is registered for another 2 years.
We then send out a new certificate to the contractor.
Out of
State Contractors performing construction work in Iowa follow
the same process but are required to be bonded with the State
of Iowa.
